S4/HANA Implementation
A major beauty retailer needed to go through a systems update to keep up with their business transformation.
This translated into a full ERP implementation project, starting with master data conversion and communication of pricing and promotions to retail stores.
What Was The Challenge?
To update the core ERP system to the latest SAP version (S4/HANA) in several phases, with minor business disruption.
To redesign and restructure the core master data on any retail business (products) in order to simplify reporting and improve data quality.
Centralize pricing and promotions across all channels, in order to provide a unified view for the whole business.
What Did We Do?
Implemented the latest S4/HANA version. Transformed current product structure to reduce the amount of data migrated to the new system.
Implemented CAR (Customer Activity Repository), a SAP tool that stores and allows the businesses to set up price and promotions in a centralized environment.
Automated the integration between SAP S4/HANA, CAR and the customer store systems, so that any promotions/pricing and master data created and changed in the core systems got sent across to the stores.
What Was The Outcome?
- Better data quality and subsequent streamlining of all data driven processes.
- Better visibility of price and promotions across all channels, improving alignment on the commercial strategies in the wider business.
- Improvement of store data accuracy (product, price and promotions) and faster “time to market” (from setting up a promotion in the back office, until it’s available in store).
